Bushwalking Trails on the Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is the perfect holiday destination not only for holiday makers that crave the find sandy sun-drenched beaches but also for outdoor adventurers who would like to explore the vast bushland regions. Our Tugun holiday accommodation at Pelican Sands Beach Resort encourages everyone to discover the breathtaking sights as you trek down the bush tracks in the Gold Coast.

We have provided a number of Gold Coast bushwalking trails that you can easily hike while you're on holiday. So lace up your hiking boots and start the adventures!

Natural Arch

Guests at our Tugun family beachfront resort will be fascinated to discover the spectacular Natural Arch in Numinbah Valley. Hikers can breezily walk from Numinbah Valley to the Natural Arch that will only take about 45 minutes. As you walk through the bushlands you’ll get a see the stunning view of the forest, the cave as well as the marvellous waterfalls.

Tree Top Walk (Rainforest Circuit)

For those who want to take on a more challenging walk can make their way to the Tree Top Walk. Located at the Green Mountains in Lamington National Park, the Tree Top Walk has a distance of 800m and will only take about 20 minutes to walk through. Hikers will be walking through 9 suspension bridges that are 15 metres off the ground. You’ll absolutely enjoy  the magnificent bird's eye view of the forest canopy once you get to the top.

Border Track

Advanced hikers can take on an arduous 42km walk to Border Track in Lamington National Park. Border Track forms the chain of all other walking tracks in the Lamington National Park, and connects Binna Burra and the Green Mountains. Hikers will get breathtaking panorama of the Lamington area, Mt. Warning and the Tweed Range from the Lookout points.

Federation Walk

Federation Walk is located at The Spit and has a 3km stretch of sand dunes, beach and sheoak trees which ends at the Gold Coast Seaway. Hikers at our Gold Coast airport accommodation can get an excellent view of the beach along the entire stretch of the Gold Coast right down to Coolangatta. The entire hike to and from Federation Walk will only take about 2hrs (6km return).
